Places of worship, hill stations, shopping malls, amusement parks, auditoriums, resorts, lodges and the like should be kept closed to the public and tourists<\/p>\n\n\n\n
. No large congregation would be authorized and prohibition orders would remain in effect until June 30. Educational institutions would not be reopened and Metro Rail and EMU services would remain suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All private companies would be allowed to operate with 50% staff<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The IT and ITES sectors could operate with certain restrictions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Non-air conditioned showrooms and large establishments, including jewelry and textiles, could operate with 50% staff but could accommodate a maximum of five customers at a time from June 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The salons and beauty salons have been authorized to operate without air conditioning and in accordance with standard operating procedures to be published separately by the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In non-containment areas outside of Chennai, industries, IT and ITES were allowed to operate with 100% staff. “However, the option of working from home should be encouraged for 20% of staff,” said Palaniswami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All private establishments could operate with 100% staff with homework options “encouraged wherever possible”. Large jewelers and textiles could operate with 50% of staff with five customers at the same time and respecting the standards of physical distance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“TASMACs and other stores can operate between 10 am and 8 pm,” said the chief minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
