ಪಾವಗಡ :- ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಿಸರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಜೂನ್‌ 5 ರಂದು ಬ್ಯಾಡನೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ 2000 ಮಾವು ಮತ್ತು ಸೀಬೆ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು 70 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ರೈತರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಭಾರತೀಯ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ,ಕೃಷಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ತುಮಕೂರು, ಹಾಗೂ ಪಾವಗಡ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಸಮಗ್ರ ಸೇವಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು.
ಮುಂಗಾರು ಆರಂಭ ವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆಯೋಜಕರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣ್ಣಿನ ಬೆಳೆಗಳ ವಿಧಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಸುವ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ICAR-IIHR ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ರೈತರಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಂಶೋಧನ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶಿವಪ್ರಸಾದ್, AEE ಅನಿಲ್ ಸರ್,PDO ಶ್ರೀಧರ್,ಗಿರೀಶ್, ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಾದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್,ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಮುನಿಸ್ವಾಮಿ,ಶಶಾಂಕ್,ಸೂರ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ್,ಮದ್ದಿಬಂಡೆ ಕಿಟ್ಟಿ,ಉಮೇಶ್ T, ಟೈಲರ್ ನಾಗರಾಜ್, ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಜಿ ವೈ ಶ್ರೀಧರ್. ಬ್ಯಾಡನೂರುಶಿವು,ತಿಪ್ಪೇಸ್ವಾಮಿ gh, ಅರುಣ್ ತಿರುಮಣಿ,ಮಧುಶ್,ರಾಕೇಶ್, ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು,ಇತರರು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.

ICAR-IIHR organised a World Environmental Day -2021 on 5th June 2021 by distributing fruit saplings at Tumukuru
ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru and ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli, Tumakuru jointly organised a programme of distribution of improved varieties of quality fruit samplings on the occasion of “World Environmental Day-2021″ on 05.06.2021 at Byadanuru village of Pavagada taluk under Tribal Sub Programme (TSP) of the Institute. Schedule tribe beneficiary farmers were identified from two villages of Pavagada taluk, Tumakuru district. Mr. Prasanth J.M. Scientist (Horticulture) highlighted the importance of Environmental Day and explained about fruit crop varieties, method of planting and maintenance. Shri. S Shivaprasad, Member, Institute Management Committee (IMC) of ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru appreciated the efforts of Indian Institute of Horticultural Research for its innovative technologies and farmer friendly programmes. During the programme, more than 2000 quality planting materials of different varieties of Mangoes and Arka Kiran variety of Guava were distributed to beneficiary farmers. On this event, Mr Shivaprasad, planted mango and guava saplings at the premises of Primary school premises at Byadanuru village of Pavagada taluk. More than 70 tribal beneficiaries of Pavagada taluk attended the programme.
